Beacon Sore
A Beacon score is a type of credit score. The Beacon score uses FICO's scoring algorithm and the credit data on Equifax's credit history to calculate the credit score. Many lending institutions look at consumers' Beacon score to determine creditworthiness. If a consumer is applying for a mortgage or a car loan, most likely a Beacon score will be used.
Besides the Beacon score, there is an EMPIRICA score produced by TransUnion. EMPIRCA also uses FICO's scoring algorithm. Experian's credit score is based off its own scoring model.
